FOWELL: WELL MONITORING USING DISTRIBUTED FIBER OPTIC SENSING
FOWell provides full-well, continuous, and real-time data.
As a non-intrusive method, our patented distributed fiber optic sensing technology offers significant advantages over traditional methods:
- FEBUS A1 (DAS - Distributed Acoustic Sensing), based on the Rayleigh scattering principle, offers very high acoustic sensitivity and allows for setting multiple gauge lengths simultaneously to improve data quality or to address multiple issues during a single acquisition
- FEBUS T1-R (DTS - Distributed Temperature Sensing), based on Raman scattering, measures in situ temperatures at production zones with high precision
- FEBUS G1-R (DTSS - Distributed Temperature and Strain Sensing), based on Brillouin scattering, is sensitive to variations in both temperature and strain.

FEBUS APPLICATIONS FOR WELL AND RESERVOIR MONITORING
WELL INTEGRITY
FOWell, a distributed fiber optic sensing well monitoring solution, enables for real-time detection of leaks or deformations in the tubing or casing structure.
Facilitating the quick implementation of solutions, it minimizes the environmental and production impact of well issues.
CARBON CAPTURE AND STORAGE
CCS is an emerging technology for addressing global CO2 emissions. Our FOWell solution is a Measurement, Monitoring, and Verification (MMV) technology based on distributed fiber optic sensing, that ensures real-time and continuous monitoring of reservoir integrity and induced seismicity activity, in addition to CO2 plume tracking and injection profiling.
GEOTHERMAL
FEBUS Optics' well monitoring solution performs continuous and real-time measurements. Our high-performance interrogators provide precise data to optimize injection and production and secure the operation of geothermal wells.
RESERVOIR MONITORING
FOWell is the ideal solution for reservoir characterization, through seismic acquisition and strain and temperature measurements.
UNCONVENTIONAL RESERVOIR MONITORING
In oil and gas, hydraulic fracturing is a common technique to maximize reservoir exploitation in low permeability shale reservoirs. FOWell is FEBUS Optics solution to help optimize stimulation performance and monitor microseismic activity.
FOWELL SUITE, SOFTWARE SOLUTION FOR WELL MONITORING
FOWell Suite is a comprehensive visualization software solution that integrates data from our distributed measurement devices, FEBUS A1 (DAS) and FEBUS T1-R (DTS), to provide a complete well monitoring system.
