Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing for geothermal activity monitoring: INSIDE Project

FEBUS Optics’ teams went to Buchenhain, South of Munich, to assist the finalization of the installation of a fibre optic cable, implemented by the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT)’s and Innovative Energie für Pullach GmbH (IEP)'s teams, at the surface and in a dedicated well.

Our FEBUS G1-R (DTSS) and FEBUS A1 (DAS) have been installed, in the scope of INSIDE Project, coordinated by the KIT, for the monitoring of temperature and strain variations or seismic activity associated with the geothermal activity in the area.
