Is DAS relevant to record urban seismic noise in an alluvial aquifer?
Can DAS be coupled to machine learning to provide real-time classification of seismic sources over long distances?
Theses two questions will be answered tomorrow during the EGU (European Geosciences Union) General Assembly in Vienna, Austria.
✅ Destin Nziengui Bâ, geophysicist PhD. student, will present his poster:
"Groundwater monitoring in an alluvial aquifer with an underwater DAS cable recording urban seismic noise: application to the Crépieux-Charmy Wellfield in France”
✅ and Camille Huynh, Machine Learning PhD. student, will demonstrate the power of Distributed Acoustic Sensing and machine learning thanks to his work:
"A complete feature set for classification of seismic sources with Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) in the context of long-range monitoring"
